London's best kosher food

Harry Styles is obsessed with all things Jewish, despite not being one of the chosen people. He’s determined to master Hebrew, has tweeted Yiddish phrases, and even wants One Direction to play in Israel. He especially loves kosher food, so here are some of the best places to get kosh nosh. Who knows, you might even spot Styles tucking into a matzo ball.

Zest at JW3
Chefs Josh Katz and Eran Tibi met while working at Ottolenghi and now they preside over the café in the new JW3 Jewish cultural and community centre. Try their tender marinated aubergine with crushed walnuts and coriander with challah bread.
341-351 Finchley Road, NW3, jw3.org.uk
Isola Bella
This place proves that choosing kosher doesn’t have to be limiting – not only do they do the usual classics but you can choose from an overwhelming range of kosher pizza, pasta, fish and chips and Thai food.
Branches in Golders Green and Westfield, isolabella.co.uk
The Happening Bagel Bakery
A north London institution where bagels and challah bread are made in small batches throughout the day according to traditional methods.
284a Seven Sisters Road, N4, thehappeningbagelbakery.co.uk
Reuben’s
Salt beef heaven. Their world famous meat is steamed according to a special recipe, and served with pickles.
79 Baker Street, W1U, reubensrestaurant.co.uk
Bevis Marks the restaurant
A smart establishment where the classics are prepared with a modern touch, like traditional chopped liver served alongside a pear and blueberry compote.
